60 mm 4-pin fan pair for Shuttle XH170V

This set contains two 60 mm cooling fans built for the Shuttle XH170V slim PC chassis. Each unit uses a 4-pin PWM connector so the motherboard can regulate speed automatically. The fans are sold new and target owners of the XH170V who need direct replacements.

Two-ball bearing and PWM control

The fans employ a double ball bearing design rated for 70000 hours of operation. PWM intelligent temperature control adjusts RPM up to 18000 ±10% while the fourth wire reports speed to the system. This combination reduces wear and keeps airflow matched to thermal load without manual intervention.

Plastic frame with 40 mm mounting pattern

Each fan measures 40×40×28 mm and draws 1 A at 12 V (12 W) within a 7.0–13.4 V range. The plastic housing keeps weight low for slim builds. At 19.4 CFM the pair moves useful air, yet the 54 dB rating means audible noise is present; buyers wanting silent operation should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How often will the two ball bearings in these 60 mm fans need replacement?

The two ball bearing design is rated for 70000 hours of operation before replacement is typically required.

What is the first limit reached when these 4-pin fans run continuously at 18000 RPM?

The 54 dB noise level becomes the limiting factor during sustained high-speed operation.

How much heat and noise do the 12 V 4-pin fans generate when running all day?

Each fan draws 12 W at 12 V and produces 54 dB, with PWM intelligent temperature control adjusting speed to manage heat and noise.
