An 80 mm axial case fan delivering 7800 RPM with a 4-pin PWM interface for computer cooling
This 80 mm axial fan runs on 12 V and spins at 7 800 RPM to move air through a computer case. It uses a four-wire PWM interface so the motherboard can adjust speed based on temperature. The frame measures 80 by 80 by 38 mm and draws 1.76 A at full speed. A two-ball bearing supports the rotor for long service life.
At the rated 7 800 RPM the fan produces an airflow of 19.4 CFM while the motor consumes approximately 12 W from the 12 V rail. The supplier specifies a noise level of 54 dB from the radiator area under normal operation. Operating voltage can range from 7.0 V to 13.4 V, allowing lower speeds and quieter running when full flow is not needed. The four-pin connector reports speed back to the system for monitoring.
The two-ball bearing is rated for 70 000 hours of continuous running, indicating durability during extended high-speed operation. PWM intelligent temperature control adjusts the rotor speed automatically as internal temperatures rise, keeping airflow matched to the thermal load. Because the design targets high rotational speed, acoustic output remains noticeable even when the fan is not at its maximum 18 000 RPM capability. The plastic frame and impeller maintain dimensional stability throughout prolonged use.

Align the 80×80 mm frame with the case mounting holes, insert the four screws through the fan flange into the case, then connect the 4-pin PWM header so the motherboard can control speed; the step most often missed is plugging in the 4-pin connector after the screws are tight.
The double ball bearing is rated for 70000 hours of operation; no lubrication is required, but after that period expect increased noise or speed drop, so plan a straight swap with another 80 mm 12 V unit.
At full 7800 RPM the fan produces 54 dB of radiator noise and moves 19.4 CFM; sustained operation at that speed is the practical limit before noise becomes intrusive and airflow gains diminish.
