40.5mm Slim Circular Polarizer

The Heliopan 40.5mm Slim Circular Polarizer SH-PMC uses Schott glass in a brass ring to cut glare from non-metallic surfaces. Its 16-layer SH-PMC coating reduces flare and protects the glass. The filter factor is about 2.5, costing roughly 1.3 stops of light. It threads onto any lens with a 40.5mm front diameter.

Fits standard 40.5mm filter threads

The slim brass frame minimises vignetting on wide-angle lenses. The rotating front element lets you dial the polarisation effect precisely for each composition. Because it is a circular polarizer, autofocus and auto-exposure continue to work normally. No adapter rings or special mounts are required beyond the 40.5mm thread.

Replaces linear polarizers or uncoated filters

Photographers using linear polarizers lose autofocus on modern cameras; this circular model restores it.
