Product Identity

The Hellwig LP/25 Leaf Kit is a suspension accessory designed for vehicles requiring additional load support. It suits owners who want to restore sagging springs and minimise body roll without changing the unladen ride quality.

Thermals Noise Power

This mechanical leaf kit has no electrical components, so it generates no heat, draws no power and produces no operational noise. Its behaviour is purely passive and depends on the vehicle's existing suspension geometry.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous loading up to 2500 pounds the variable-rate leaves engage progressively, maintaining level ride height. The spring rate and lift height can be altered by adjusting the outer upbolts, allowing the setup to match different payload conditions.

Questions about this item

How are the Hellwig LP/25 leaf springs bolted to the axle and what adjustment step is often missed?

The kit uses a simple bolt-on design that clamps to the existing spring pack; the critical step is setting the outer upbolts to the desired height and spring rate before final torque.

Which components of the LP/25 kit will require inspection or replacement after extended service?

The high-quality spring steel leaves and the mounting hardware sold separately should be checked for fatigue, corrosion or loosened bolts during routine suspension service.

At what load does the variable-rate behaviour of the LP/25 leaves reach its limit under sustained use?

The leaves are rated for a 2500-pound level load capacity; beyond that the variable-rate design cannot maintain the intended ride quality.
