Roof Flashing Sealant 1 Quart

This black, non-coal-based sealant comes in a one-quart can with a resealable lid. It is designed for roofers and maintenance crews who need a single product for flashings, gutters, vents, chimneys and general roof repairs on concrete, metal, tile and masonry.

Functional Cure and Surface Limits

The sealant reaches a functional cure in 24 hours and can be applied to cold or wet surfaces without stirring. It withstands stress from dissimilar expansion rates but is not intended for structural bonding or continuous immersion. A California Proposition 65 warning applies because the formula contains a chemical known to the state to cause cancer.

Straightforward Application With Basic Prep

No stirring is required; the product is ready to use straight from the can. Surfaces should be cleaned of loose debris for best adhesion. The resealable lid helps preserve unused material, though the black colour makes coverage harder to see on dark substrates.

Questions about this item

Is the 1-quart can enough for a single chimney flashing repair?

A 1-quart can covers a typical chimney flashing job with material left for touch-ups on nearby vents or skylights.

What does the 24-hour functional cure mean for a roof I need to use the next day?

After 24 hours the sealant has reached functional strength so the repaired area can handle normal rain and foot traffic.

Does the California Proposition 65 warning limit where I can apply this sealant?

The warning flags a listed chemical; the product is still approved for all listed substrates including concrete, metal, tile and masonry.
