Replacement cable for Surface Pro 3–6

This USB-C to Surface Connect cable replaces the original charger for Microsoft Surface Pro 3, 4, 5 and 6 tablets. It draws 15 V at 3 A from any USB-C PD source that offers a 15 V rail, so the power supply must explicitly support that voltage. No data lines are connected; the cable is for charging only.

Power headroom by device class

A 29 W or greater adapter will run a Surface Go, while a Surface Pro or Surface Laptop needs at least 36 W and 45 W or 60 W is recommended for comfortable headroom. Most MacBook USB-C chargers lack a 15 V profile, so they cannot power this cable. Overload, over-voltage and short-circuit protection are built in.
