This Hetai Tech enclosure houses a 2.5 inch SATA hard drive or SSD inside a transparent shell. It connects to a host via a USB 3.1 Type-C interface and supports drives up to 8 TB. The unit is sold new and intended for external storage expansion.

Suits users adding SATA storage to a laptop or PC

Buyers needing M.2 drive support should look elsewhere, as this unit only accepts 2.5 inch SATA drives. Builders requiring a 3.5 inch bay enclosure will need a different form factor.

Questions about this item

Does the enclosure include any cables or do I need to buy a Type-C cable separately?

The enclosure comes with a USB 3.1 Type-C cable in the box so no separate cable purchase is required.

Which capacity limit should I consider when choosing a 2.5 inch SATA drive for this case?

The enclosure supports drives up to 8 TB so any 2.5 inch SATA HDD or SSD at or below that capacity will work.
