5.25" Front-Panel Media Dashboard
This 5.25" front-panel unit combines a multi-format card reader with USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and ESATA ports in a single black bezel. It fits a standard drive bay and adds front-access connectivity for flash media and peripherals without opening the case.
Build integration: bay, headers and cabling
The dashboard occupies one 5.25" bay and requires internal USB 2.0, USB 3.0, ESATA and audio headers plus a 4-pin power connector or 12 V DC input. It frees rear I/O ports by moving everyday connections to the front while adding high-definition headphone and microphone jacks.
Upgrade path: from rear-only or single-slot readers
It replaces rear-panel plugging and single-function card slots with an 8-in-1 reader supporting CF, TF, M2, MS, MMC and other popular formats. The jump is worth it when a build needs simultaneous USB 3.0 at 5.0 Gbps, ESATA at 3.0 Gbps and front audio in one permanent install.

Questions about this item
How fast can the USB 3.0 port move data when I am copying large files for hours?
The USB 3.0 port reaches 5.0 Gbps, so sustained transfers run at that ceiling.
Does the front panel get hot or noisy when the card reader and eSATA drive are active all day?
No fan is fitted; the unit relies on case airflow and stays silent during continuous use.
Which internal connectors must my motherboard and power supply already provide for this dashboard to work?
You need a spare 5.25" bay, a SATA port, a USB 3.0 header, an eSATA bracket or port, a 4-pin Molex or 12 V DC lead, and front-panel audio headers.
