The Hetai Tech HZ-0010 is an 8-in-1 card reader that accepts TF, SDXC and CF memory cards through a single USB 3.0 Type-C connector. Its aluminium alloy body keeps the unit light and cool during long transfers.

Who it suits and who it does not

Photographers and videographers who move files between cameras, phones and laptops will appreciate the three simultaneous slots and broad OS support. Users whose devices lack a Type-C port or who need UHS-II or CFexpress speeds should look elsewhere.

The deciding specification

The reader connects via USB 3.0 Type-C and delivers up to ten times the throughput of USB 2.0, so the host port must be USB 3.0 or faster to realise the rated performance.
