Hetai Tech NGFF NVMe M.2 to USB-C 3.1 Enclosure

This new enclosure accepts an NVMe M.2 drive and connects it to a host via a USB-C port operating at USB 3.1 speeds. It provides a portable, bus-powered way to turn an internal solid-state module into external storage.

Suits users adding external NVMe storage over USB-C

Buyers who require a different M.2 keying or protocol should look at another enclosure. Anyone needing a built-in cable or a specific colour option not listed here will need a different model.

Questions about this item

What does the USB 3.1 figure mean for real-world transfer speed with an NVME drive inside?

The enclosure passes data through a USB 3.1 connection, so the practical ceiling is the USB 3.1 bus limit rather than the NVME drive's own peak.

Which interface standard is used between the enclosure and the host, and what throughput does it cap?

It uses a Type-C USB 3.1 link, which caps the end-to-end throughput at the USB 3.1 signalling rate.
