Mobile gaming controller

The Hetai Tech PG-9087 is a telescopic gamepad built for Android smartphones up to 6.2 inches. It also pairs with iOS, Windows, macOS, Switch and TV boxes over Bluetooth 4.2. The clamp design turns a phone into a handheld console for touch-heavy titles. Competitive players who need sub-millisecond wired latency should look elsewhere.

Battery life and wireless range

A 350 mAh cell delivers roughly 6 hours of play and recharges in 1 hour via USB at 5 V 500 mA. Typical draw sits at 35 mA during active use. Bluetooth 4.2 maintains a stable link out to 8.0 m in open space. Users wanting all-day sessions without a power bank will find the runtime limiting.

Build and daily handling

The black-and-red ABS shell weighs 126 g and measures 16 x 8.5 x 2 cm when closed. A TURBO button adds rapid-fire input for arcade-style games. The spring-loaded grip expands smoothly but adds bulk that may not fit tight pockets. Owners of phones wider than 6.2 inches cannot mount their device securely.

Questions about this item

How do I pair the PG-9087 to my Android phone using Bluetooth 4.2?

Enable Bluetooth on the phone, press and hold the controller's pairing button until the indicator flashes, then select PG-9087 from the device list; the telescopic clamp opens to 6.2 inches so the phone sits securely while you pair.

What upkeep does the built-in 350 mAh battery need over time?

Recharge via USB after roughly 6 hours of play; a full charge takes about 1 hour at 5 V 500 mA, and the battery is not user-replaceable so plan for eventual capacity fade.

Which limit appears first during a long gaming session?

After about 6 hours of continuous use the 350 mAh battery runs flat, ending play until you recharge for an hour.
