Target device and charging need
This cable connects a USB-C device to a USB-C charger for power delivery up to 100W. It suits owners of recent smartphones, tablets or laptops that accept 5A current through a Type-C port. Buyers whose devices use Micro-USB, Lightning or barrel connectors cannot use this cable.
Data throughput and video capability
The cable carries data at 10Gbps and supports a single 4K×2K@60Hz or dual 1080P@60Hz display stream when the host port implements DisplayPort Alternate Mode. Systems without DP Alt Mode on their USB-C port will not output video through this cable.
Built-in E-marker chip
An embedded E-marker identifies the cable as 5A-capable, allowing the charger to negotiate 15W, 30W, 45W, 65W, 87W or 100W profiles safely. Without a compatible PD charger the cable reverts to standard USB power levels.
