USB Foot Switch Pedal

The Hetai Tech USB foot switch pedal lets you control a computer with a foot press. It ships with configuration software that maps any keyboard shortcut or single key to the pedal. The device uses the operating system's built-in HID drivers so no separate driver installation is required. Multiple pedals can be connected to the same system for expanded control.

Compatibility Check

Verify that your computer has a free USB port and runs DOS, Windows 2000, XP, Vista or Windows 7. The supplier notes that Mac OS X Snow Leopard is not supported, so macOS users should confirm compatibility before ordering. The pedal weighs 105 g and measures 10 x 6.5 x 4 cm, so ensure you have desk or floor space for placement. A CD driver and English manual are included in the package.

Upgrade Context

This pedal replaces reliance on keyboard-only shortcuts for hands-free operation. The jump is worth it when repetitive key combinations slow down workflow or when physical limitations make keyboard access difficult. It adds a programmable input without occupying a hand, useful for transcription, gaming push-to-talk or accessibility setups. Buyers who need a second independent pedal should confirm the software supports multiple units.
