60% Silent Topre Keyboard

The HHKB Professional HYBRID Type-S is a compact 60% mechanical keyboard built around silent Topre capacitive switches. It connects via USB Type-C or Bluetooth to Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS devices. The charcoal frame uses ABS while the keycaps are PBT with sublimated legends that resist shine. Two AA batteries are included for wireless use.

For Quiet-First Typists

This board suits programmers and writers who want a quiet, tactile typing experience in a minimal footprint. The silent capacitive switches reduce noise without sacrificing feel. Buyers who need dedicated function rows, a numeric keypad or per-key RGB lighting should look elsewhere. The fixed 60% layout also lacks separate arrow and navigation clusters.

Silent Topre Capacitive Switches

The defining specification is the Topre Silent Capacitive switch mechanism. It delivers electrostatic actuation with dampened landing for a quiet, smooth keystroke. This switch type determines the board's acoustic profile, tactile feedback and long-term consistency. If your priority is a different switch feel or audible click, this model will not match that requirement.
