What this enclosure does

The Hitoor M.2 NGFF SATA SSD enclosure lets you connect a single SATA M.2 drive with a B-key to any USB 3.0 Gen1 port. It supports drive lengths 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 and delivers up to 5Gbps transfer speed. A detachable cover with a built-in aluminium heat sink keeps the drive cool during extended use.

Who it suits and who it doesn't

This enclosure is for users who want to turn a spare SATA M.2 NGFF SSD into portable external storage for file backup or capacity expansion. It requires no tools and works with Windows and Linux without extra drivers. Buyers with PCIe-based M.2 SSDs cannot use this unit because the internal interface is SATA only.

The spec that decides fit

The internal connector is SATA and only accepts B-key M.2 NGFF drives. If your SSD uses a PCIe interface or an M-key notch, it will not fit or function in this enclosure.
