Ready-to-game desktop for 1440p play

This Hoengager system pairs an eight-core Ryzen 7 7800X3D running at 4.2 GHz with a Radeon RX 9070 16G graphics card. 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a 3 TB split of 1 TB NVMe plus 2 TB SATA storage give headroom for modern titles and a large library. Windows 11 ships pre-installed so the PC is usable straight from the box.

Practical limits of the AM5 platform

The AM5 socket supports current Ryzen 7000 series processors, but a future CPU upgrade may need a BIOS update and a cooler rated for higher thermal output. The 650 W 80plus unit powers the supplied configuration reliably, yet it leaves little margin for a significantly more power-hungry graphics card or heavy overclocking. Wired networking tops out at 1 Gbps, which is adequate for most home broadband but not for multi-gigabit fibre.

240 mm liquid loop and compact black chassis

A 240 mm all-in-one cooler keeps the 7800X3D at stable temperatures without the noise of a tower air cooler. The closed-loop design means no refill maintenance and a smaller footprint inside the case. Front-panel I/O and rear ports will vary between production batches, so verify the exact layout before planning peripheral placement. The matte black finish resists fingerprints in daily use.

Questions about this item

How should I choose between the 1TB PCIe and 2TB SATA drives when installing games and the operating system?

Install Windows 11 and your most-played titles on the 1TB PCIe drive for faster load times, and use the 2TB SATA drive for larger game libraries and media files.

What does the 4.2GHz base clock on the Ryzen 7 7800X3D mean for actual gaming frame rates?

The 4.2GHz base frequency provides a consistent foundation across all 8 cores, while the 96MB L3 cache reduces latency in CPU-bound scenes, helping sustain high frame rates in competitive titles.

What does the 650W 80plus power supply cap in terms of GPU headroom for the Radeon RX 9070?

The 650W 80plus unit delivers enough overhead for the RX 9070 at stock settings with the 240mm liquid cooler, but leaves limited margin for heavy overclocking or future GPU upgrades.
