Gamers targeting high refresh rates at 1080p or 1440p will find the CPU and GPU combination well matched. The single memory stick leaves an open slot for a simple capacity upgrade later. Builders who need 32 GB or more out of the box, or who run memory-hungry creative workloads alongside games, should look at something else. The 650 W unit also limits future GPU upgrades to cards with similar power demands.

3 TB split across two drives

The 1 TB PCIe SSD holds the operating system and a handful of active titles with fast load times. The 2 TB SATA SSD adds bulk space for larger libraries, media files and backups. Both drives are solid state, so there are no mechanical platters to slow access. When the PCIe portion fills, new installs spill onto the SATA volume with a noticeable but usable speed drop.
