The HOFFMAN AHE8X8X4 is a carbon steel electrical enclosure rated NEMA 1 and IP30 for indoor protection of wiring and components. It measures eight inches high by eight inches wide with a four inch depth and features a powder coated gray finish. The 14/16 gauge steel construction includes integral mounting holes for direct wall installation. A solid cover secures with a quarter turn latch that has a screwdriver slot for quick access.

Replaces Screw Cover Boxes

This enclosure replaces traditional screw cover junction boxes where faster entry is needed during maintenance or inspection. The quarter turn latch removes the need to fully remove and store multiple cover screws each time the box is opened. The upgrade is worth it when technicians open the enclosure frequently or when glove friendly operation is required in the field. Wall Mount With Standard Hardware
