Smart brake light for cyclists

The Hollywood Racks Q3 is a USB-rechargeable rear bicycle light rated at 60 lumens. It mounts on saddle rails or a seat post using the supplied bracket and silicone strap. The unit weighs little and carries an IPX6 waterproof rating for all-weather riding.

Auto sensors limit manual control

Motion and vibration sensors switch the light on automatically and turn it off after 30 seconds of stillness. An ambient-light sensor activates flashing and breathing modes only in low-light conditions; these modes stay off in bright daylight. Riders cannot override the sensors to force those modes in sunshine.

60 lumens peak output

The single COB LED delivers a maximum of 60 lumens in brake-light mode. Daytime visibility relies on a separate strobe setting that is not quantified in the specifications. Buyers who need a measured daytime lumen figure should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I decide between saddle-rail and seat-post mounting?

The kit includes both a saddle-rail bracket and an adjustable silicone strap for the seat post, so you can pick whichever fits your bike best and swap later if needed.

What does the 60-lumen rating mean for visibility on the road?

The COB LED delivers 60 lumens in a focused red beam that is visible in daylight and provides a distinct brake-light flare when you slow down.

How does the USB charging interface affect real-world use?

A standard USB cable recharges the built-in lithium-polymer cell, giving up to 60 hours of run time between charges.
