Kit contents and purpose

This converter kit replaces a dated glass dome on an existing flush-mount fixture with a 14x14x7 hardback drum shade in textured oatmeal linen. It includes the fabric shade, a milky white diffuser and all connecting hardware for a tool-free lighting update.

Who it suits and who it does not

Ideal for homeowners wanting a modern drum look without wiring work, provided the current ceiling light has a centered threaded rod and a frame no wider than 17. Not suitable for fixtures lacking a center post, for lights broader than 17, or for anyone needing a complete new fixture with integrated electrics.

Critical compatibility check

The kit only works when the existing dome light has a threaded rod in the centre and a maximum diameter of 12. If either condition is missing the shade cannot be secured.
