60-inch Credenza Shell Desk

The HON 10700 Series credenza shell provides a 60-inch wide worksurface in a Cognac woodgrain laminate finish. It is built for private offices or open-plan layouts that need a durable, water-resistant desk base. The unit ships new and requires assembly before use.

High-pressure laminate and modesty panel

The 1 1/8-inch thick top uses high-pressure laminate with rounded corners and a waterfall edge profile that resists water, scratches and solvents. A full-height modesty panel adds privacy and structural rigidity, while the shell design accepts HON 10700 Series file pedestals for configurable storage.

72% total recycled content

The construction incorporates 69% pre-consumer and 3% post-consumer recycled material for a combined 72% total recycled content. The desk meets Level 2 certification, ANSI/BIFMA and ISTA performance standards, and carries SCS Indoor Advantage certification for indoor air quality.

Questions about this item

Does the high-pressure laminate top need any special cleaning or refinishing over time?

The high-pressure laminate with waterfall edge is water, scratch and solvent resistant, so routine cleaning with a damp cloth is all that is required; no refinishing is needed.

Will the 1 1/8-inch top sag if I load it with heavy binders across the full 60-inch width?

The shell meets ANSI/BIFMA and ISTA performance standards, which validate structural rigidity for typical credenza loads on the 60-inch span.

Does the laminate emit noticeable odour or heat when the credenza sits in a closed office all day?

SCS Indoor Advantage certification confirms low VOC emissions, and the woodgrain laminate construction does not generate heat.
