Mesh Mid-Back Task Chair

The HON Altern mesh mid-back task chair is built for office workers who spend long hours at a desk. Its breathable mesh back promotes airflow while the thick seat foam cushion delivers generous support. Height-adjustable arms and a pneumatic seat height adjustment ranging from 17.95 to 21.1 inches help users find a comfortable posture.

Assembly and Adjustment

The chair arrives as a task seating unit requiring standard assembly of the base, cylinder, seat and back components. The pneumatic height lever and seat slide adjustment operate with intuitive controls once the chair is built. An optional headrest is sold separately, so buyers needing integrated head support must plan for an additional purchase.

Seating Capacity and Limits

The mesh back and foam seat are designed for all-day use by a single occupant in a typical office environment. The adjustable seat slide accommodates different leg lengths to maintain proper weight distribution. Users requiring a heavier-duty rating, a high-back design or a built-in headrest will find this model does not meet those needs.
