What the Honeywell 1250g USB kit does

This Honeywell 1250g kit is a 1D barcode scanner with a USB Type A connection. It reads 13 mil codes from up to 447 mm and larger symbols out to 58.4 cm. The 3 m coiled cable gives reach without extra wiring, and automatic interface detection removes the need for programming barcodes.

Who benefits and who should look elsewhere

Shops, warehouses and service counters that scan one-dimensional labels all day will find the extended depth of field and CodeGate aiming helpful. Buyers who need 2D imaging, a presentation stand for hands-free use or a wireless link should look at other models.

What the bundled cable and software features change

The kit supplies the CBL-500-300-C00 coiled cable so the scanner connects directly to a USB Type A port. Automatic in-stand detection configures the unit when a stand is added later, and CodeGate lets the operator confirm the target barcode before data is sent.

Questions about this item

What USB port type does the included 3 m coiled cable plug into?

The kit ships with a USB Type A cable, so the host must provide a standard USB Type A port.

Does the 1D scan engine read the 13 mil barcodes our older laser scanner handles at 447 mm?

Yes, the extended depth of field scans 13 mil codes from up to 447 mm away and larger codes up to 58.4 cm.

How do I confirm the scanner transmits only the barcode I aimed at?

CodeGate technology holds the data until you press the button, so nothing is sent until you confirm the target.
