Replacement printhead restores 300 dpi printing on PM43 4-inch label printers
This Honeywell 710-179S-001 printhead is a direct replacement for the PM43 4-inch printer operating at 300 dpi. It restores print quality when the original head reaches end of life. The part is supplied new and ready for installation in compatible POS systems.
The printhead draws power only during active printing and remains idle between labels. Heat output is limited to the brief thermal transfer cycle required at 300 dpi resolution. No fan or active cooling is involved so acoustic output is negligible in typical operation.

Power off the printer, open the printhead latch, remove the old assembly, seat the new 300 dpi printhead, close the latch firmly until it clicks, then reconnect the data cable before turning the power back on.
Clean the printhead regularly with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to remove residue; replace the assembly when print quality degrades or after the rated dot-life is reached.
