Adds a pistol-grip scan handle and protective boot to the CT40 for comfortable, all-day barcode capture
The Honeywell CT40-SH-PB is a scan handle accessory fitted with a TPU boot for the CT40 mobile computer. It adds a pistol-grip form factor that makes repetitive barcode scanning more comfortable during long shifts. The kit is designed for retail, warehouse and logistics workers who need faster trigger-style operation. It connects directly to the host device without extra cables.
The accessory draws its power from the CT40 unit itself and adds no active cooling or moving parts. Because it contains no motor or fan, it produces no audible noise and generates no measurable heat of its own. The TPU boot simply wraps the handle and the lower section of the computer for drop protection. Overall system thermals and battery run-time remain unchanged from the bare device.
The handle snaps onto the CT40 and works with the standard charge base CT40CBPB012 and net base CT40NBPB012, so existing cradles can stay in place. The black TPU boot covers the grip area and the base of the terminal, leaving the screen and scanner window fully exposed. Buyers who need a second handle for hot-swap workflows or who prefer a sled-style cradle without a pistol grip will not be served by this kit.

Slide the CT40 into the handle until the latch clicks, then verify the TPU boot sits flush around all edges so the charge contacts on the base align correctly.
The TPU boot protects the handle and computer from drops; inspect it regularly for cracks or stretched corners and swap the boot when the material no longer grips the device securely.
The handle draws power from the CT40 battery; sustained scanning will drain the computer’s charge, so dock the combined unit on the CT40CBPB012 or CT40NBPB012 base whenever the shift allows.
