2D Area-Imaging Scanner for POS

The Honeywell HF680R12USB is a hands-free 2D area-imaging scanner built for point-of-sale, manufacturing and healthcare environments. It reads 1D, PDF and 2D symbologies from paper labels and mobile screens alike.

Suited for high-volume fixed-mount scanning

This model suits workflows that need continuous, hands-free barcode capture at a single station. It is not for operators who need a lightweight cordless gun for roaming inventory or curbside pickup duties.

18 recessed LEDs and hybrid imaging

Eighteen recessed LEDs provide distributive illumination that prevents eye strain during long shifts. Hybrid imaging technology lets the scanner decode barcodes on LCD screens at 10 to 100 percent brightness, OLED displays and damaged paper labels without manual mode switching.

Questions about this item

What type of host connection does the HF680R12USB need to operate?

Can the 680 scanner read barcodes displayed on older LCD monitors as well as newer OLED screens?

Yes, it reads barcodes on mainstream LCD screens at brightness levels from 10% to 100% and on OLED screens without switching modes.

How can I verify the HF680 is scanning correctly after I plug it in?

Present a test barcode; the 18 recessed LEDs in the scan window will illuminate and the scanner will transmit the decoded data to the active application.
