Adapter sleeve enables booted CT40 handsets to fit Honeywell IH40 charger cups
This Honeywell IH40-ADP-SLV adapter sleeve is a POS accessory designed to fit the booted CT40 charger cup. It enables reliable charging for devices equipped with protective boots. The sleeve integrates with existing Honeywell charging infrastructure. It is intended for retail, warehouse and field-service environments.
The adapter sleeve is a passive mechanical component with no active electronics. It generates no heat and produces no audible noise during operation. Power draw is zero because the sleeve simply guides the device into the charger cup. Normal use adds no thermal load to the charging station.
This accessory replaces makeshift shims or ill-fitting inserts used to charge booted CT40 units. The jump is worth it when devices must remain in rugged boots while docked for charging. It is not for users charging bare CT40 units or those using non-Honeywell charger cups.

Slide the sleeve over the charger cup until it clicks into the locking tabs; the step often missed is pressing both side tabs simultaneously to secure the sleeve fully.
Inspect the sleeve for cracks or worn locking tabs every six months; replace it if the sleeve no longer holds the booted CT40 securely in the charger cup.
The plastic locking tabs fatigue first, typically after several thousand insertions, causing the sleeve to release the booted CT40 before a full charge completes.
