Honeywell OH4502 Wireless 2D Scanner

The Honeywell OH4502 is a handheld cordless barcode scanner designed for retail, warehouse and logistics staff who need to capture 1D and 2D symbols quickly. It reads QR, PDF417 and Data Matrix codes down to a 4 mil element size using a 650 nm LED light source. The unit ships new in black and includes a USB cable for charging or wired operation.

Dual-Mode USB and 2.4 GHz Radio

The scanner connects through a mini USB receiver that occupies a single port and requires no extra configuration. In wireless mode the 2.4 GHz link transmits at 250 K and operates up to 100 metres from the host. When the battery runs low or a fixed station is preferred, the same USB cable doubles as a data link and charging cord, so no separate power supply is needed.

Suited to Mobile Point-of-Sale and Inventory Tasks

Workers who move between aisles or checkout lanes benefit from the long wireless range and the loud buzzer that confirms scans in noisy environments. The 512 KB onboard buffer stores codes when the link is temporarily lost. Buyers who need a presentation-style scanner for hands-free operation or a device rated for extreme temperature cycles should look at other form factors.
