Display & Build

The Honor Watch 4 is a 1.75-inch AMOLED smartwatch with a 390 x 450 pixel resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. Its square dial measures 45.3mm x 39.1mm x 11.2mm and uses a rubber case paired with a black silicone sport band. The watch runs on a proprietary OS compatible with Android phones via Bluetooth 5.2.

Ideal User & Limits

This watch suits Android owners who want a bright AMOLED screen, GPS tracking, and 5ATM water resistance for swim-proof daily wear. It is not for iPhone users because the companion software requires Android. Buyers who need LTE connectivity, onboard music storage, or third-party app ecosystems should look at other platforms.

Deciding Specification

The 1.75-inch AMOLED panel at 390 x 450 pixels is the single specification that decides fit. It determines how much data you can read at a glance and whether the touch targets feel spacious enough for your fingers. If that screen size and pixel density match your vision and wrist, the watch works; if you need a larger canvas or higher density, it will not.

Questions about this item

Does the Honor Watch 4 need an Android phone to pair and use its 1.75-inch AMOLED display?

Yes, the watch lists Android as its compatible operating system and connects via Bluetooth 5.2, so an Android smartphone is required for setup and daily use.

Will the 1.75-inch AMOLED display stay readable if I keep my older Bluetooth headphones paired to the same phone?

The watch uses Bluetooth 5.2 for its own connection; most phones handle multiple Bluetooth devices at once, so the AMOLED screen remains fully readable while headphones are also paired.

How can I confirm the 5ATM water resistance is working after I start wearing the watch?

After setup, open the swim or water-sport mode; if the watch tracks laps and depth without triggering a water-ingress alert, the 5ATM seal is functioning as intended.
