Universal Power Adapter 12VDC 1.2A

The Hosa Technology ACD-477 is a universal power adapter that delivers a stable 12VDC output at 1.2A. It operates on a 100-240VAC input range, making it suitable for worldwide use without additional converters. The unit includes six interchangeable plugs and offers selectable voltage settings of 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9, or 12V to match various device requirements.

Musicians and travellers needing one adapter

This adapter suits users who power keyboards, effects pedals, or similar 12VDC gear rated up to 1.2A and want a single unit for home and international travel. It is not for buyers who need higher amperage, fixed-voltage-only operation, or a locking connector for secure stage use.

Plug selection and voltage switch setup

Installation requires selecting the correct interchangeable plug for the device jack and setting the voltage switch to the required level before connecting power. The main issue occurs when the voltage selector is left at a higher setting than the device accepts, which can damage sensitive electronics.

Questions about this item

What devices must I already own that require a 12VDC 1.2A input with a selectable tip?

You need equipment such as keyboards or effects pedals that accept 12VDC at 1.2A and fit one of the six included interchangeable plugs.

Can I keep using my older 9V or 7.5V gear with this adapter?

Yes, the selector lets you choose 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9 or 12VDC, so legacy devices drawing up to 1.2A at those voltages will work.

How do I confirm the adapter is delivering the correct voltage after I plug it in?

Set the voltage selector to the required value, connect the matching tip, power the unit and verify your device operates normally.
