1/6 Scale Friend Figure

This Hot Toys CMS01 release captures the Friend character from the 20th Century Boys manga at 1/6 scale. The figure stands approximately 12.2 inches tall and features a TrueType body with 30 points of articulation. It was produced as an exclusive 10th anniversary item for the Tokyo event in Christmas 2010. Collectors of manga-licensed figures will appreciate the Naoki Urasawa approval.

Head Swaps and Hand Parts

The set includes two newly developed head sculpts, one featuring the signature masked logo, each hand-painted for individual character. Four pairs of interchangeable palms provide relaxed, pointing, gun-holding and spoon-holding poses. Swapping heads and hands is straightforward on the 30-point body, though the small pegs on the masked head require careful alignment to avoid stress marks.

Display Space and Age Rating

The figure measures roughly 35 centimetres in height, so shelf clearance should accommodate that vertical footprint. The manufacturer recommends the item for ages 14 and up, reflecting small parts and collector-grade handling. Buyers who want a toy for rough play or a larger 1/4 scale statue should look elsewhere.
