Scale and Audience

This Hot Toys MMS159 figure reproduces Jake Sully from the Avatar film at 1/6 scale, standing approximately 12.2 inches tall. It is intended for collectors aged 14 and above who value screen-accurate detail and extensive articulation in a display piece.

Bundled Gear and Customisation

The set includes four interchangeable palms, a movable tail, a wig with bead strings, and a feather-like hair accessory. Costume elements such as a brown cummerbund, green loincloth, forearm gauntlet and leg armours are supplied alongside a long gun, six grenades with harness, a knife with sheath and a visor headset.

Installation and Common Issues

Assembly involves swapping hands, attaching the tail and fitting weapons into the harnesses; the 30 articulation points allow a wide range of poses but small parts like beads and grenades can be fiddly. The wig and feather accessory may need gentle adjustment to sit correctly on the sculpted head.

Questions about this item

Will the movable tail or the 30 articulation points loosen over time and need tightening?

The figure has 30 movable points and a movable tail; joints on 1/6 scale collectibles can loosen with frequent posing, so handle gently and store in a neutral pose to reduce stress.

Which part hits its limit first when the figure is posed repeatedly — the tail joint or the 30 articulation points?

The tail is a single joint while the body offers 30 articulation points; the tail joint typically reaches its range-of-motion limit before the multiple body joints do.

Does the figure generate any noise, heat or draw power when displayed all day?

No — it is a non-electronic 1/6 scale collectible made of plastic, so it produces no noise, no heat and consumes no power while on display.
