36-bay 4U rackmount chassis

The HOTCFWQ S465-36 is a 4U rackmount server chassis built from 1.0 mm SGCC zinc-coated steel. It fits a standard 19-inch rack and supports motherboards up to 12 x 13 inches. The unit provides 36 hot-swappable 3.5-inch drive bays for SATA or SAS drives. Seven half-height PCI or PCIe expansion slots are available for add-in cards.

Capacity and headroom

Thirty-six bays give dense storage for cloud, big data or surveillance workloads. The backplane options include 6 Gb/s or 12 Gb/s Mini SAS and expander variants, each with a temperature control chipset. Drive throughput is limited to 6 Gb/s per bay for SATA II, SATA III, SAS II or SAS III. Two front USB 2.0 ports are standard, with USB 3.0 offered as an option.

Cooling and power flexibility

Cooling is handled by three 12038H ball-bearing fans and four 8038 ball-bearing fans. The chassis accepts a 2U standard power supply or a redundant power supply module. Front-panel controls include power, reset, UID buttons and LEDs for power, HDD, network, overheat and fan failure status. The design follows EMC standards to reduce electromagnetic interference.
