A 4U rackmount chassis holding 36 hot-swappable 3.5" SAS or SATA drives with a 6Gb/s expander backplane, redundant PSU support and seven half-height expansion slots
The HOTCFWQ S465-36 is a 4U rackmount server chassis built to hold thirty-six 3.5-inch hot-swappable drives. It targets operators who need maximum capacity in a standard 19-inch rack for cloud storage, big data or surveillance workloads. The expander backplane design consolidates drive connections for simpler cabling.
The frame uses 1.0 mm zinc-coated steel and fits motherboards up to 12 by 13 inches. Seven half-height expansion slots provide room for RAID controllers or networking cards. Three 12038H and four 8038 ball-bearing fans deliver front-to-rear airflow, while the 2U power supply bay accepts standard or redundant units.
Two front-accessible USB 2.0 ports allow quick media attachment without reaching the rear. The control panel adds power, reset and UID switches alongside LEDs for power, drive activity, dual network links, UID, overheat or fan failure and power supply failure. Optional USB 3.0 ports can be specified at order time.

The 6 Gb/s expander backplane caps each drive at 6 Gb/s, so SATA III and SAS 6 Gb/s drives run at their rated speed while 12 Gb/s SAS drives fall back to 6 Gb/s.
The chassis is 650 mm deep and fits a maximum 12" x 13" motherboard in a standard 19" rack.
Insert each 3.5" drive into a hot-swap tray, slide the tray into the front bay until it locks, then connect the Mini SAS cables from the backplane to the RAID controller or HBA — forgetting the cable connection is the common mistake.
