Five-piece heat-resistant silicone set

The HOTEC ABB5 set contains five multicolour basting brushes made from BPA-free, food-grade silicone with a stainless-steel core. One large brush and four smaller brushes cover different tasks while the colour coding helps avoid cross-contamination between sauces. The one-piece moulded design is dishwasher safe and dries quickly without trapping residue.

Suited to home cooks who need colour-coded brushes

This set works well for anyone who wants separate brushes for sweet and savoury applications and prefers silicone that will not shed bristles. Buyers who need a single large brush only or who want natural bristles for delicate pastry work should look elsewhere.

Withstands 600 °F continuous heat

The silicone bristles are rated from –104 °F to 600 °F (–40 °C to 315 °C), so they remain stable on hot grill grates, in ovens or when brushing melted butter directly from the pan.

Questions about this item

Does the silicone handle stay cool when the brush is used at 600°F all day?

The brushes are rated to 600°F and the silicone handle is designed for high-heat use, but the handle will warm up during prolonged exposure.

What cookware is required so the stainless-steel core does not scratch the surface?

The brushes are safe for non-stick pans because the bristles are 100 % food-grade silicone; only the internal core is stainless steel.

Will the 1.3-inch and 1.7-inch brush heads fit inside my older narrow jars and bottles?

The small brush head measures 1.3 inches wide and the large head 1.7 inches wide, so both fit most standard jar openings.
