Cable length and data rate

This 16.5FT USB Type C to USB Type C cable delivers 20Gbps transfer speed under the USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 specification. It suits users who need a single long run for external SSDs, docking stations or portable monitors without adding an active extender.

100W Power Delivery with E-Marker

The built-in E-Marker chip negotiates up to 100W at 20V/5A so laptops, tablets and phones charge at their maximum rate while the cable protects against over-current and overheating. It is the deciding spec for anyone powering a 65W-or-higher ultrabook from one port.

Thunderbolt 4 and 3 compatibility with DP Alt Mode

Works with Thunderbolt 4 and 3 hosts and carries DisplayPort Alt Mode for 4K@120Hz or 8K@30Hz video without extra adapters. The male-to-male, gold-plated connectors survive 15k-plus insertions, freeing you from carrying separate charge, data and video cables.

Questions about this item

How fast does the 20Gbps rating actually move a 10GB file?

The cable transfers a 10GB file in under 8 seconds when both ends support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2.

What does the Thunderbolt 4/3 label mean for data and video limits?

The cable is compatible with Thunderbolt 4 and 3 hosts, but its own ceiling is 20Gbps data and 8K@30Hz or 4K@120Hz video via DP Alt Mode.

Will the 16.5FT length fit a wall-mounted monitor without strain?

At 16.5FT the cable reaches across a room, but the 24K gold plugs add bulk so allow extra clearance behind the display.
