Electronic hearing protection for shooters

The Howard Leight Impact Sport Smoked Electronic Muff R-02531 provides active hearing protection with a Noise Reduction Rating of 22 in both on and off modes. Built-in directional microphones amplify ambient sounds to a safe 82 dB while automatically suppressing loud impulsive noises such as firearm discharges. It is designed for range use and hunting where situational awareness is essential.

Slim earcup design and audio connectivity

Patented Air Flow Control technology creates a low-profile earcup that clears firearm stocks during shouldering. The padded headband uses telescopic height adjustment for a secure fit across different users. An external audio jack allows connection to MP3 players, scanners or other audio sources for communication or entertainment without removing the muffs.

Extended battery life with auto shut-off

Two AAA batteries deliver approximately 350 hours of continuous operation under normal use. An automatic shut-off timer engages after 4 hours of inactivity to conserve power when the unit is left on. The electronic circuit draws minimal current during active amplification, keeping noise suppression consistent throughout the battery cycle.
