Everyday Windows laptop

The HP 14-dq1043cl ships with a 10th Gen Intel Core i3-1005G1 processor at 1.2GHz, 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 256GB NVMe drive. It runs Windows 10 in S mode, which limits installation to Microsoft Store apps until the user switches to Windows 10 Home. The 14.0" FHD IPS panel delivers a 1920 x 1080 resolution for clear text and video.

Connectivity and build

A Natural Silver chassis measures 12.76" wide, 8.86" deep and .71" high, weighing 3.24 lbs. Ports include one USB 3.1 Type-C, two USB 3.1 Type-A, HDMI 1.4b, a multi-format card reader and a combo audio jack. Wireless uses 802.11ac with Bluetooth 5.0, while the backlit keyboard and HP TrueVision HD webcam support work and calls.

Thermals and battery

The 3-cell 41WHr battery is rated for up to 10 hours and 15 minutes of mixed usage. Intel UHD Graphics handles integrated video without a discrete GPU, keeping heat and fan noise low during typical office and streaming tasks. The compact form factor relies on passive airflow rather than large vents, so sustained loads may warm the underside.
