Everyday laptop for light tasks

The HP 14 laptop runs on an Intel Celeron N4500 processor with a base speed of 1.10 GHz and a turbo frequency of 2.8 GHz. It includes 8GB DDR4 memory and a 128GB PCIe NVMe SSD. The 14.0-inch display has a 1366 x 768 resolution at 60Hz. Windows 11 Home S-Mode comes pre-installed.

Suits students and casual users

This device suits students and casual users who need a portable machine for web browsing, document editing and video calls. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics and 768p screen limit gaming and creative workloads. Buyers who want more storage or a higher-resolution display should look at something else. The S-Mode operating system restricts software installation to the Microsoft Store unless switched out.

Simple setup with few issues

The laptop arrives ready to use after the initial Windows configuration. WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 pair quickly with routers and peripherals. Ports include two USB 3.0 Type-A, one USB 3.1 Type-C, HDMI and an SD card reader. The 41 WHr battery and 45W adapter provide basic mobility. Some users find the 128GB drive fills quickly with updates and apps.
