Ready for web work

The HP 14a-na0050nr is a 14-inch Chromebook built around an Intel Celeron N4000 dual-core processor with Chrome OS. It suits students and casual users who spend most of their time in a browser, streaming video or editing cloud documents. The anti-glare IPS panel keeps text readable under office lighting. Buyers who need local compilation, heavy multitasking or Windows applications should look elsewhere.

Storage and memory limits

The system ships with 32 GB of eMMC storage and 4 GB of LPDDR4 memory running at 2400 MT/s. That capacity handles a modest set of Android apps and offline files, but fills quickly with large media libraries. The memory is soldered with no open slots, so the 8 GB ceiling cannot be reached on this unit. Cloud storage and streaming services become essential for everyday headroom.

Cooling and power profile

Passive cooling keeps the chassis silent during typical browsing and video playback at 250 nits brightness. The 6 W processor stays cool enough for lap use without audible fan noise. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 600 shares system memory for display output up to 1920 x 1080. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 handle wireless duties without noticeable thermal impact.

Questions about this item

Will the Intel Celeron N4000 and 4 GB LPDDR4 handle my existing USB-A peripherals and HDMI monitor?

The Chromebook includes one SuperSpeed USB Type-A port at 5 Gbps and two USB-C ports that support DisplayPort 1.2; an HDMI adapter or dock is required for direct HDMI output.

How can I verify the 14-inch FHD IPS panel is running at 1920 x 1080 with 250 nits brightness?

Open Chrome OS settings, select Displays, and confirm the resolution shows 1920 x 1080; the panel is specified as anti-glare IPS with 250 nits typical brightness.

Does the box contain a USB-C power adapter and are there any memory slots to add more than the 4 GB onboard?

A 45 W USB-C power adapter is included; the 4 GB LPDDR4 is soldered with zero available slots, so memory cannot be upgraded.
