15.6-inch HD touchscreen laptop

The HP 15-fc0499nr is a 15.6-inch laptop with an HD touchscreen display. It runs on an AMD Ryzen 5 7520U quad-core processor with integrated Radeon graphics. The system includes 8 GB of onboard LPDDR5 memory and a 512 GB NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Home comes pre-installed in a natural silver chassis.

Suitable for daily tasks not high-end creative work

This laptop suits students and office users who need a responsive touchscreen for web browsing, document editing and media streaming. The soldered memory and lack of a discrete GPU make it unsuitable for buyers who want user-upgradable RAM or dedicated graphics performance for 3D rendering or modern gaming.

8 GB soldered LPDDR5-5500 memory

The single specification that decides fit is the 8 GB LPDDR5-5500 memory soldered to the system board with no expansion slots. Buyers who need more than 8 GB of RAM or the ability to upgrade memory later must choose a different model.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the Ryzen 5 7520U get when the laptop runs all day?

The quad-core Ryzen 5 7520U has a 4.3 GHz max boost clock and 4 MB L3 cache; typical office workloads keep fan noise low and surface temperatures warm but comfortable.

Which peripherals must I already own to use the single USB-C and HDMI 1.4 ports?

The USB-C port handles data only at 5 Gbps and does not charge the laptop or drive a monitor; the HDMI 1.4 output needs a standard cable for external displays.

Will my older USB-A accessories work with the two 5 Gbps Type-A ports?

Yes, both USB-A ports run at 5 Gbps signalling rate, so existing mice, keyboards and flash drives connect without adapters.
