15.6 HD laptop for daily productivity

The HP 15-dy1048nr combines a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor with 8 GB DDR4 2666 MHz memory and a 256 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 solid-state drive. A 15.6 inch BrightView micro-edge WLED-backlit display runs at 1366 x 768 resolution. Windows 10 Home 64 bit comes pre-installed.

Suits students and office users needing fast boot

Buyers who want more storage capacity or a higher-resolution screen should look at other models. The single M.2 slot and soldered memory prevent later upgrades. Gamers or creators needing discrete graphics will find the integrated Iris Plus graphics insufficient.

256 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 solid-state drive

This drive provides the operating system and application storage. No additional drive bays or optical drive are present. The 3-cell 41 Whr lithium-ion battery powers the system. Connectivity includes 802.11 wireless-AC, USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, HDMI 1.4b, an SD card reader and a headphone-microphone combo jack.
