Ready for work and study

The HP 15-dy5097nr is a new 15.6-inch laptop powered by a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1255U processor with ten cores and twelve threads. It comes with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD running Windows 11 Home. The 1920 x 1080 IPS display operates at 60Hz and is not a touchscreen. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics handle everyday visual tasks.

Upgrading from an older dual-core system

Buyers replacing a laptop with fewer cores, less memory or a mechanical hard drive will notice much faster multitasking and quicker boot times. The jump is worth it when the current device struggles with several browser tabs, office applications or video calls at once. The 4.7 GHz turbo frequency helps with short bursts of heavier work such as photo editing.

Suits students and office users

This configuration fits people who need a light 3.5 lb silver chassis with a full-size keyboard, HDMI output, USB Type-C, an SD reader and Wi-Fi 6 plus Bluetooth 5.2. It is not for buyers who want more storage than 256GB, a dedicated graphics card for gaming or 3D rendering, a higher-refresh-rate screen, a touchscreen, or user-upgradeable memory slots.
