Product identity

The HP 17.3 inch HD touch laptop combines a Ryzen 5 7430U processor with 32 GB DDR4 memory and a 2 TB NVMe SSD. It runs Windows 11 Home on a 1600 by 900 anti-glare display with 250 nits brightness and 60 percent NTSC coverage.

Who it suits and who should look elsewhere

Home users wanting a large touchscreen for web browsing, office work and media streaming will find the 6 core 12 thread CPU and ample storage responsive. Buyers who need higher resolution for photo editing or a discrete GPU for gaming should look elsewhere.

Installation notes and common issues

The device arrives with the original seal opened only for the memory and storage upgrades performed by technicians. First boot completes the Windows 11 setup. Some users report the 41 Wh battery requires the 45 W adapter for sustained loads and the HDMI 1.4 b port limits external monitors to 1080p.

Questions about this item

What must I already own to use the 17.3" HD touch display at its native 1600 x 900 resolution?

The laptop includes the display and integrated AMD Radeon Graphics; no external monitor or graphics card is required to run the screen at its native resolution.

Will my existing USB Type-A peripherals work with the single USB Type-C and two USB Type-A ports?

Yes, the two USB Type-A ports accept standard USB-A plugs directly, while USB-C devices can use the one USB Type-C port.

How can I confirm the 32 GB DDR4 memory and 2 TB NVMe SSD are recognised after first boot?

Open Settings > System > About to verify 32 GB installed RAM, then open Task Manager > Performance to see the 2 TB NVMe SSD listed as the system drive.
