17.3-inch HD+ anti-glare laptop with Intel Core i3-N305 8-core processor, 16GB DDR4, 1TB PCIe SSD, Wi-Fi 6 and Windows 11 Pro
The HP 17 is a new 17.3-inch laptop running Windows 11 Pro. It uses an Intel Core i3-N305 processor with eight cores and a 3.8 GHz turbo frequency. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles the display output. The system includes 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe SSD.
This configuration suits students and office workers who need a large anti-glare screen for documents, web browsing and video calls. The 1600 x 900 panel and integrated graphics are not intended for colour-critical design, 3D rendering or modern gaming. Buyers who want a backlit keyboard, a fingerprint reader or an SD card reader should look at other models.
The laptop provides one USB-C port rated at 5 Gbps for data only, two USB-A ports at 5 Gbps, an HDMI 1.4b output and a headset jack. There is no video-alt mode or power delivery on the USB-C connection, so external monitors must use the HDMI port and the laptop charges via the dedicated AC Smart Pin adapter.

The i3-N305 has 8 cores and reaches 3.8 GHz turbo, so it handles web browsing, office apps and video playback smoothly; heavier workloads like video editing will benefit from a Core i5 or i7 instead.
At 17.3 inches the 1600 x 900 HD+ screen gives readable text and clear video, though pixel density is modest so fine detail in photos or small spreadsheet cells is less sharp than on Full HD panels.
The USB-C port runs at 5 Gbps and is data-only, so it connects fast external storage or docks but cannot output video or charge the laptop; use the HDMI 1.4b port for an external display.
