HP 14-inch 2-in-1 Chromebook

The HP 1G128UA is a 14.0-inch convertible laptop running Chrome OS. It uses an Intel Celeron N4000 dual-core processor with a 1.1 GHz base frequency and 2.6 GHz burst. The system includes 4GB LPDDR4 memory and 64GB eMMC storage. A 1920 x 1080 IPS anti-glare touchscreen and Intel HD Graphics 600 handle display output. It suits students or light-duty mobile workers who live in a browser environment.

Simple setup with limited expansion

Chrome OS configures itself on first boot; there are no driver discs or BIOS menus to navigate. The 45W USB Type-C adapter charges the 47 Wh battery and powers the device through either of the two USB-C ports, which also carry DisplayPort 1.2 video. The single USB-A port adds legacy peripheral support. A microSD slot is the only storage expansion path because the eMMC is soldered and the memory is not upgradeable.

Steady output for browser workloads

The Celeron N4000 sustains its base clock during long document sessions or video playback without thermal throttling. Burst speeds up to 2.6 GHz handle brief spikes such as page loads, then settle back to 1.1 GHz. The passively cooled chassis stays silent, and the 47 Wh cell delivers multi-hour runtime under continuous web use. Heavy Android apps or many simultaneous tabs will exceed the 4GB RAM ceiling and trigger swap to eMMC, slowing response.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 14-inch Full HD IPS display is running at its native 1920 x 1080 resolution after setup?

Open Chrome OS settings, choose Displays, and verify the resolution shows 1920 x 1080; the Intel HD Graphics 600 will drive the panel at that resolution automatically.

What accessories are included with the HP 1G128UA and what must I provide separately?

The box contains the Chromebook, a 45W USB Type-C power adapter, and documentation; a microSD card for extra storage and any USB Type-A peripherals are not included.

Which configuration should I choose if I need more local space for offline files?

This model provides 64GB eMMC storage; if you need more offline capacity, use the microSD card reader to add removable storage.
