15.6-inch Full HD laptop with Ryzen 5 5500U six-core processor, 8 GB DDR4 memory, 256 GB NVMe storage and Windows 11 Pro
Model 8GB/256GB W11P
The HP 255 G8 is a 15.6 inch laptop powered by a 6-core AMD Ryzen 5 5500U processor with a 4 GHz turbo frequency and integrated AMD Radeon graphics. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD. The IPS display delivers a 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60 Hz in a Dark Ash Silver chassis.
The laptop arrives fully assembled and configured, so no internal installation is required. Memory is fitted as a single 8GB DDR4 SO-DIMM; adding more later means opening the base cover and may void the Velztorm warranty. Storage uses an M.2 PCIe NVMe slot, but the supplied 256GB drive occupies it, so a larger drive would replace the original rather than supplement it.
The integrated Radeon graphics suit office applications, web browsing and video playback but are not intended for modern 3D titles or GPU-accelerated rendering workloads. Connectivity includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, a wired RJ-45 port, HDMI, USB 3.2 Type-C and an SD card reader. Buyers who need discrete graphics, a touchscreen or more than 8GB of RAM out of the box should look at alternative configurations.
