Intuitive on-screen pen for creators

The HP Rechargeable Active Pen G3 model 43 is a digital pen built for natural on-screen note-taking, drawing and application navigation. It pairs with a device via Bluetooth and offers a programmable button to launch frequently used productivity apps. A digital proximity alert notifies you if the pen is left behind. Magnetic attach capability keeps the pen secured to a compatible device.

Sustained creative sessions with rechargeable power

A rechargeable battery supports extended work periods without disposable cells. The pen charges through a device USB-C adapter or the included USB-C to USB-A cable, and LED indicators display the charging status. Improved starting and inking pressure reduces the force required for writing and drawing compared to the previous generation, lowering fatigue during long use.

Lightweight daily carry with magnetic storage

The pen attaches magnetically to a compatible device for convenient storage and transport. Three buttons provide erase, highlight and click functions for direct content manipulation. Once paired and in range, the device detects the pen and cues on-screen placement. No cooling, noise or external power draw considerations apply to this input accessory.

Questions about this item

Does the HP 6SG43AA generate noticeable heat or noise during extended daily use?

The HP Rechargeable Active Pen G3 operates silently with no moving parts, so it produces no audible noise and negligible heat even during all-day writing or drawing sessions.

What device or port must I already have to recharge and pair the HP 6SG43AA?

You need a host device with a USB-C port for charging via the included USB-C to USB-A cable, plus Bluetooth capability to pair the pen for the programmable shortcut button.

Will the HP 6SG43AA work reliably alongside my older non-touch laptop that lacks pen support?

The pen requires a compatible touchscreen with active-pen digitiser technology; it will not function on a standard non-touch display or legacy hardware without that hardware layer.
