HP BL460c Gen8 Switch Module

The HP 718029-B21 is a refurbished switch module designed for the BL460c Gen8 server blade. It provides network connectivity within the enclosure for IT administrators managing blade infrastructure.

21 and 24 port configuration

The module offers 21 internal ports for server connections and 24 external ports for uplink connectivity. This capacity handles typical blade chassis deployments but runs out when larger aggregation layers are required.

Thermals and power in normal use

As a chassis-integrated component, the module relies on the enclosure's shared cooling and power delivery. Normal operation stays within the blade system's thermal envelope without adding independent noise or draw.
