24-Port Gigabit PoE+ Switch

The HP Aruba 2930F JL255A#ABB delivers 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE+ support plus four SFP+ uplinks. It suits offices and branch sites that power access points, cameras or phones over the network cable. The unit weighs 6.1000 kg and ships new.

Replaces non-PoE or Fast-Ethernet edge switches

Upgrading from a switch without PoE+ removes the need for separate injectors and power outlets at each device. The jump is worth it when you are adding VoIP handsets, wireless APs or IP cameras and want a single managed fabric. First listed by the manufacturer on 09 January 2026.

Sustained PoE+ load across all 24 ports

The power budget handles continuous PoE+ draw on every copper port while the four SFP+ uplinks carry aggregated traffic to the core. Fan noise and thermals remain stable during long periods of full-port utilisation. No burst-only ratings are quoted.

Questions about this item

What rack width and vertical space does the JL255A#ABB require?

The switch weighs 6.1000 kg and occupies one rack unit of vertical space; confirm the rack can support the weight before mounting.

What is the common installation mistake with the PoE+ ports on the 2930F?

Connecting devices that exceed the per-port power budget causes the port to shut down; verify each device’s draw against the switch’s total PoE+ capacity before powering on.

Which component of the 24G PoE+ 4SFP+ model typically needs replacement first?

The internal power supply and cooling fans are the primary field-replaceable parts; monitor fan speed and power-supply health logs for early signs of wear.
